june 22, 2020 cabana update

Dear Members,

We are pleased to provide you with an update regarding our Lap Swim days/hours, our updated cancellation policy and a refresher for reserving Rec Swim at Almaden Cabana Club.

Lap swimming Update:  Due to high demand for lap swim, we are able to increase the number of days and hours.  Lap swim will now be from 7 am until 12 noon daily.  The new schedule will begin on Monday, June 22nd 2020.   There will be 5 swim lanes available in the morning.  Each can be reserved independently.  The reservations will be for one (1) hour with the expectation that the swimmers show up early and exit the pool 5 minutes before their hour ends (at the latest). Lap swim times will be from 7:00 - 8:00, 8:00-9:00, 9:00-10:00, 10:00-11:00 and 11:00-12:00.

Recreational swim reminder:  No changes to rec swim.  As a reminder, rec swim will be on every day of the week in the afternoon through evenings.  There will be six (6) family unit zones available.  Each can be reserved independently - four (4) quadrants at the lap pool, the entire dive pool, and the kiddie pool.  The reservations will be for one-and-a-half (1.5) hours with the expectation that the families show up early and exit the pool 15 minutes before their allotted time ends. Rec swim times will be from 1:00-2:30, 2:30-4:00, 4:00-5:30, and 5:30-7:00 for the time being.

You can find more details on Lap and Rec swimming restrictions and expectations here.

As a reminder, all reservations must be made online via PC or a mobile device web browser at almadencabana.com.  They can also be made via our member software mobile app, Wild Apricot for Members which is available for Apple iOS and Android devices.

Cancellation Policy Update:  Please be considerate and cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend. Our pool reservation slots are a limited resource and any no-shows means you are denying your fellow member from using the pool. If you incur two (2) no-shows, the club will no longer allow you to make reservations for the remainder of the season.

As a courtesy to other members and as mandated by the State of California, masks are mandatory.  Please ensure you are wearing a mask when you arrive at the Club.

We are pleased to provide you with these changes to meet the needs of our members.  We will continue to monitor attendance and your feedback and adjust as best we can given the evolving situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Best Regards,

The Board
